Why go
Bodie is one of the best preserved ghost cities in the American West. Houses, shops and workshops are in the state of the so-called Arrested Decay and convey an amazingly direct picture of the former mine life.
The stop can be easily integrated into the proposed round trip and offers a clear contrast to the previous stage.

Bodie is a mandatory destination for us. The city does not seem like an artificial museum, but rather as a place that its inhabitants left yesterday.
