The former prison island is located in the middle of San Francisco Bay and combines history with great views of Skyline and Golden Gate Bridge. The audio tour through the Cellhouse is one of the most impressive museum visits in the city.

Alcatraz is not an overrated tourist stop, but a very well-made history experience. The evening tour is particularly atmospheric, but quickly sold out.
