OUR NEW HOME ON WHEELS

A new home. A new way to travel.

After arriving in Chicago, we plan to head to the Elkhart–Goshen–Middlebury area of Northern Indiana to buy or collect our pickup and fifth-wheel RV. We’ll take time to settle in, get to know everything and prepare for life on the road.

Our recommendation

Plan for Indiana for at least 6–9 days and combine well-known highlights with a slower stretch of nature. The route becomes more relaxed when city visits and narrow Scenic Roads are consistently done without Fifth Wheel.

A wooded, hilly walk around Ogle Lake. Indiana DNR lists 1.5 miles; allow extra time for stops.

Back to the start

Follow the lakeside loop back to the Ogle Lake parking area. Stay on Trail 7 rather than its connecting trails.
