Why go
Whiteshell is a classic Canadian lake landscape of granite, forest and water. The park is suitable for paddling, short hiking tours and several quiet camping days.
The stop is intended as a quiet stage. The Fifth Wheel remains on a suitable basis if possible, while narrow local, coastal and park roads are only explored with the pickup truck.

Practical tips
Pack in insecticides and tick protection.
Book weekends early.
Invasive methods of testing and cleaning boats and equipment.
Save offline maps. In rural regions, national parks and in the north, mobile communications can be missing over long distances.
Never take water untested from lakes or rivers into the fresh water tank. Replenish drinking water only at released sources or prepare it professionally.
Our recommendation
Stay at a lake for at least three nights and avoid daily changes of place.
